Workplace Safety Inspection and Incident Investigation

Synopsis

This program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to use various tools to conduct workplace safety inspections to identify hazards and potential risks and eliminate or control the risks or unsafe conditions.  Participants will also learn how to carry out a thorough investigation of an incident, identify the root causes, and recommend the appropriate corrective actions to be implemented to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.

Objectives:

On completion of this program, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Develop a WP safety inspection process, and identify and eliminate the different types of hazards and risks
  2. Develop an incident investigation process and analyse root causes using the different investigative tools and recommend corrective and preventive measures
  3. Understand what is Total Workplace Safety & Health (TWSH) and its applications at workplaces.
