Synopsis
The Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health is an advanced professional qualification designed to equip participants with the knowledge and competencies required to lead and manage workplace safety and health programmes effectively. The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of WSH legislation, hazard identification, risk assessment, control measures, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, safety audits, and organisational safety culture development.
Participants will gain practical skills to establish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve Workplace Safety and Health Management Systems across various industries. Through a combination of classroom learning, case studies, practical applications, and assessments, learners will be prepared to take on leadership roles in driving workplace safety excellence and organisational compliance.
Programme Objectives
Upon successful completion of this programme, participants will be able to:
• Develop and implement Workplace Safety and Health policies and management systems aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Identify workplace hazards, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and recommend appropriate control measures to minimise risks.
• Establish and manage effective incident investigation, emergency preparedness, and response frameworks within organisations.
• Conduct WSH audits, monitor safety performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organisational safety outcomes.
• Promote a positive workplace safety culture through effective communication, leadership, employee engagement, and behavioural safety management.
